Learners from The Oaks Specialist College were fortunate enough to receive funding from The 3H Foundation to take part in a range of professional performance workshops with The Trinity Theatre, Tunbridge Wells.  The PFA2 & PFA3 groups worked together with Trinity Theatre professionals, in areas such as: lighting, sound, costume design and front of house; in order to develop their employability skills to an industry standard, in a meaningful, real-life context.

Our learners worked exceptionally hard all day during these practical, hands-on workshops and impressed the professionals at Trinity Theatre with the wide range of skills that they have been developing during their time studying at The Oaks Specialist College.

These learners thrive in the Performing Arts and the workshops provided an opportunity to try out some different non-performance industry roles.  The impact of this visit is already visible in learners’ aspirations– we now have costume designers, lighting & sounds techs, and front of house specialists of the future!

Everyone involved had a fantastic day and a thoroughly enjoyable learning experience, which you can clearly tell from these photographs(!), and everyone at The Oaks Specialist College would like to thank The 3H Foundation and Trinity Theatre for inspiring our learners and making this all possible.
